Jaffa Harbor

Jaffa Harbor is located under and a bit south to the old city of Jaffa.

Jaffa Harbor is considered as one of the oldest harbors in the world. Jaffa Harbor was mentioned first in Bible as a place which Yona ran away through to Tarshish.

Today the harbor is mostly hosting some yachts and children from Tel Aviv are studying to sail.

By the first settlement in Israel, Jaffa Harbor was used as the main gate to Israel, and many mew immigrants entered through this place.

At that time the exporting of citrus was the main economic source in Israel, and Jaffo Harbor was used to be the main harbor for the citrus exporting.

Nowadays the harbor has become a fishing harbor and it is also considered as a historic and a tourist place. In the harbor you can find many attractions like: tours, sailings, restaurants, fish market, galleries, and more…
