Rabin Square ("Kikar Rabin") |

Rabin Square is the central square of Tel-Aviv and it is placed south to the municipality of Tel-Aviv in Even-Gvirol Street. The name of the square was changed in 1995 from "Kikar Malchey Israel" to "Kikar Rabin" in memory of Yitzhak Rabin, the prime minister of Israel in 1995. Yitzhak Rabin was murdered in this square by the night of the 4 of November 1995.
The square is used to be the main square for many events like: the Independence Day celebrations, demonstrations, open concerts & shows, and more.
The square has a rectangle shape and most of the square is floored.
In the north-east part of the square you can see the monument in memory of Yitzhak Rabin that is placed where Rabin was shot by three firing hand gun and murdered.
In the south part of the square you can find the Holocaust and Revival Monument ("Andartat Hashoa Vehatkuma"), the work of the artist Igal Tomarkin. The monument has a pyramid shape and it is made of iron and glass.
