Meir Garden (in Hebrew - Gan Meir) is placed between the streets King Gorge and Tchernichovski.
In 1933 the municipality of Tel-Aviv decided to build a garden in the center of Tel-Aviv under the name of Meir Dizengoff, the first mayor of Tel-Aviv, toward his 70 birthday.
The garden was established only in the 10 of March 1944, toward the 83 birthday of Meir Dizengoff and eight years after his death. In the center of the green and beautiful garden you can see a big pool with water flowers. Many people like to walk their dogs around this pool.
In the south west part of the garden there is a monument in memory of the New Zealanders and Australians soldiers, that was killed in the First World War in the occupation of Israel.
