Nahalat Binyamin Street is named in the name of Nahalat Binyamin Neighborhood, which was established in Tel Aviv in 1911.
The name of the neighborhood was chosen in memory of Binyamin Tribe. Most of the structures in the street were built in the 1920's, and the structures are very different with their style and architecture. Some of the structures were destroyed and some still exist and look like castles or palaces.
In Nahalat Binyamin Street and Harambam Street you can find Nahalat Binyamin Pedestrian Mall, which is a very well known site because of the artists that are gathering and sailing their work of art every Tuesday and Friday from 10:00 until 17:00. In this art & crafts market you can buy sculptures, paintings, and other art objects from the artists themselves. This art market is very original and it is the biggest art market in Israel.
